Stability Assessment of Polyvinyl-Ether-Based TiO2, SiO2, and Their Hybrid Nanolubricants

Poor characterisation of nanoparticle suspensions impedes the development nanolubricants for use in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. Chemical treatment techniques, such as surfactants, are inappropriate enhancing stability intended vapour-compression (VCR) Prior to incorporating into system, TiO2 SiO2 nanoparticles dispersed PVE was therefore investigated. The were prepared by a two-step method with aid an ultrasonication bath homogeniser. Visual observation ultraviolet–visible (UV–Vis) spectrophotometric analysis used, zeta potential then performed confirm nanolubricants’ condition. TiO2/PVE nanolubricant observed be maintained at 95% concentration ratio up 30 days evaluation. TiO2/PVE, SiO2/PVE, SiO2-TiO2/PVE exhibited values 203.1 mV, 224.2 105.3 respectively, after 7 h sonication. A high absolute value indicates that electrostatic repulsive forces between exceptionally strong, indicating excellent stable suspension. potentials validated conditions determined UV–Vis visual observation. It can concluded times produced most state mono- hybrid nanolubricants.
